VOX DJs was started in 1984 by Manhattan Beach resident and musician Shawn Sedlacek. What started as a hobby eventually grew into a successful business. Originally called Electro VOX Productions, VOX DJs has performed at over 10,000 events and worked with over 200 DJs. VOX DJs prides itself on the family business spirit and brings energy and a dynamic spirit to all of its events.

In 1993, Shawn took VOX DJs to the USC Entrepreneurial Program and spun off VOX Productions. Winning the USC Best Business Plan award, VOX Productions went on to produce another 5,000 productions, award shows and events.

In 2000, VOX Entertainment Inc., a leading experiential marketing and branded event company, was started in an effort to market and promote the events handled by VOX Productions. Under the auspices of The VOX Group, it has since partnered with SBE’s Bolthouse Productions to create Bolthouse VOX EVENTS, a full-service event productions company.

VOX DJs, with its success and growth, left the auspices of The VOX Group in 2008 to become its own company. As a strategic partner of The VOX Group, VOX DJs continues the legacy of its predecessors by incorporating the positive aspects of growth while retaining the unique personality of a start-up, high energy, close attention to detail, friendly and constantly improving company!

Focused on the customer experience, VOX DJs brings not only great professional DJs and MCs to events, but also provides entertainers, sound, lighting and smaller production services to a variety of clients.
